WOMEN’S UNIT




The Women’s Unit delivers programs in a group setting with a goal to change behavior by educating and empowering women on general health and HIV related issues. The Women’s Unit Programs include:

SISTA (ebi): 5week educational workshops for African American women 18yrs and over.
• Topics include: HIV, assertive vs. aggressive, communication, ethnicity and pride
• Suitable for: Adult Learning Centers, Shelters and Treatment programs

Women’s Self-Help. 12week educational workshops for heterosexual women 18yrs and over
• Topics include: Women’s Health, decision making, self esteem and HIV/AIDS
• Suitable for: Adult Learning Centers, Shelters and Treatment programs

Parenting Journey. 12week educational workshops for parents.
• Topics include: nurturing, decision making and communication, HIV
• Suitable for: NYC Schools, GED Centers, Adult Learning Centers, Shelters and Treatment programs

Shades of Lavender. 5week educational workshops for lesbian and bisexual women 18yrs and over.
• Topics include: sexual orientation, gender identity and homosexuality, coming out, risk reduction strategies for Lesbian and Bi-sexual women
• Suitable for: Adult Learning Centers, Shelters and Treatment programs
