BATF's Substance Treatment Services offers practical strategies for reducing drug-related harm and a licensed day treatment program.
Your New Day Begins with Our Harm Reduction Services : The BATF Harm Reduction Relapse Prevention Program is design for HIV-positive individuals with past or present substance abuse issues. Treatment focuses on Substance Abuse Education, Relapse Prevention, Stress Management, Nutritional Counseling, and Buprenorphine Training.

First Steps Alcohol & Drug Treatment Program: BATF received a 822 license from the New York State Office of Alcohol and Substance Abuse (OASAS) to provide medically supervised treatment for clients with HIV/AIDS and Substance Abuse Disorders. As a result, the First Steps Alcohol & Drug Treatment Program was created. It offers an integrated client-centered treatment model with a psychodynamic rehabilitation approach that provides engagement, assessment, stabilization and comprehensive HIV/AIDS and substance abuse treatment services in a three phased program of decreasing intensity.

SAMHSA-Open Door Program:
The Open Door provides pre-treatment group and individual counseling sessions to encourage and prepare clients for admission into integrated substance abuse treatment and mental health services
This program is designed for clients with co-occurring disorders who are not ready to enter substance abuse treatment and mental health services. Clients may not be ready to enter treatment due to:
• Lack of Motivation
• Ambivalence Towards Recovery
• Avoidance of Dealing with Mental Health Issues
Our goal is to move clients with co-occurring disorders toward substance abuse recovery while addressing client's impairments and mental health symptomatologies.

OASAS Housing Program:
The goal of the OASAS Housing Program is to assist homeless single adults who have completed a course of treatment for a substance abuse disorder (minimum of 90 days) to secure permanent Housing and live independently, self-sufficiently and maintain a clean and safe home. This program targets single homeless adults who are at risk of street or sheltered homelessness and who are in need of long term supportive housing to sustain sobriety and to achieve independent living.
Eligibility Requirements:
• An individual must have at least 90 days clean from substance treatment setting.
• Must be determined eligible from the Department of Homeless Services (DHS/HRA)by submitting an DHS application for approval.
• Must commit to intensive case management and ongoing Support Services.
• Must show documentation of employment or steady monthly income
Our OASAS Housing program helps in locating apartments and negotiates with Landlords, Realtors and Brokers.
