PRISON PROJECT UNIT
The Prison Project Unit delivers programs in a group setting weekly counseling with a goal to reduce the risk of HIV infection among individuals recently released from jail/prison or on parole/probation. The program provides risk reduction strategies to lower recidivism and aid in a smooth transition into society. The Prison Project Unit Programs include:
Women’s Prison Project. 12week educational workshops for women 18yrs and over recently released from jail/prison, or on parole/probation.
• Topics include: Women’s Health, returning to the old crowd and violence prevention/anger management
• An on-site program
Alternative to Violence . 12week educational workshops for men, 18 years and over, recently released from jails/prison, or on parole/probation
• Topics include: Men’s Health, mental wellness and violence prevention/anger management
• An on-site program
